Paul Flynn's Robina home was facing a significant challenge. The existing concrete tile roof was leaking in several areas, and the homeowner desired both a fresh new look and improved performance. The project required a complete overhaul to replace the aging roof with a more modern and efficient solution.

The Solution

Our team at MRA proposed a comprehensive plan to address these issues. We removed all the old concrete tiles and installed new 40mm top hat roof battens. To further enhance the home's energy efficiency, we added a new 60mm foil-faced insulation layer. This setup ensures the house stays warmer on cold mornings and cooler during hot days.

Additionally, we partnered with solar experts to temporarily remove and then expertly reconnect the solar panels, ensuring the home's sustainable energy source remained intact throughout the project.

We also gave the house a refreshed facade by installing corrugated roof sheeting on the gable end, replacing old cladding with peeling paint. This not only solved the aesthetic concern but also contributed to a more modern and appealing street view.

Insulation and Whirlybirds: The installation of 60mm foil-faced insulation and three new 300mm throat whirlybirds significantly improved the home's climate control, cutting down on temperature fluctuations and enhancing comfort.
